Line Operator

JOB SUMMARY

The Line Operator monitors the packaging line to keep it running smoothly. This includes the Case Packer, Case Sealer and Crate Conveyors. The Line Operator clears jams quickly and safely to keep production moving and to protect product quality

PRICIPAL DUTIES

• Ensure bottles are in an upward position when loading crates to the Uncase Machine and maintain good flow to eliminate machines from running out of crates.
• Eliminate conveyor backing up of products at the case packer when packing full products and ensure crates are full.
• Ensure bottles are in the upward position at the Bottle washer infeed to eliminate bottle jam
• Ensure cartons are full of 24 bottles before sealing.
• Complete all relevant Bottling Hall logs.
• Monitor the conveyor lines towards the Empty Bottle Inspector and at the Pasteurizer for fallen bottles.
• Report all out-of-specification situations to Shift Supervisor or B/H Supervisor in timely fashion.
• Keep machines and the surrounding areas in the Bottling Hall clean and tidy.
• Perform any other related duties required by the job function.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma is required
• 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing or a related field

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of basic Health and Safety principles.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills.
