JOB TITLE: DRIVER
OBJECTIVES AND GENERAL OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION:
The Driver is responsible for providing high-end, safe, reliable, and professional chauffeur services to clients while ensuring that all assigned tasks, including payment collection, are handled efficiently and with exceptional customer service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Driving:
- Plans and follows the Journey Management Plan (JMP) where applicable, or the most efficient routes, to avoid traffic and delays.
- Ensures punctual arrival at client locations by reporting at least 15 minutes before scheduled pick-up times and safely transporting clients to their destinations in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensures that the vehicle is operated in compliance with traffic laws and regulations.
Payment Collection:
- Collects payments from clients using paymobile or mobile credit card machine at the end of each trip (as advised), in a courteous and professional manner.
- Handles card transactions, securely and accurately.
- Provides accurate support for payments received to the Dispatchers for daily Company reporting.
Vehicle Maintenance:
- Completes vehicle checklists at the start of each shift ensuring that vehicles are in excellent working condition (fuel, oil, tire pressure, etc.).
- Always maintains vehicles in pristine condition, ensuring they are thoroughly cleaned and presentable for client use and promptly reports any mechanical issues or repairs needed to the Ground Transport Supervisor.
Client Interaction:
- Provides a professional, courteous, and discreet service to clients.
- Assists clients with loading and unloading luggage or packages.
- Responds to client inquiries and requests in a polite and helpful manner.
- Ensures vehicle temperature, radio station and volume are to the satisfaction of the client and ensures radio station is on the agreed station.
Safety and Security:
- Prioritizes client safety and comfort during transport and abides by all HSSE and ground transportation policies.
- Maintains confidentiality regarding clients’ personal information and travel plans.
- Stays vigilant to potential safety risks or security concerns.
Education
- Minimum of 3 CXC O’ Level Passes, inclusive of English A.
- Minimum three (3) years driving experience.
- Excellent knowledge of local routes and traffic patterns.
- Valid Trinidad & Tobago issued Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Certification in Defensive Driving would be considered an asset.
