POSITION SUMMARY
Assures the regulatory and contractual compliance of pension plans through the maintenance of databases, preparation and payments of benefits and providing professional support to all stakeholders.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Responsible for the securing, protecting and proper handling of all confidential matter.
- Maintaining the membership, contributions and benefit databases of pension plans.
- Record contribution income, benefit outgo, and fee payments for a pension plan’s Revenue and Expenditure accounts.
- Preparation of retirement, termination and death benefit calculations and packages for pension plans.
- Preparation of periodic membership, contribution and activity reports for the company, clients and trustees.
- Maintaining the payroll databases on the company’s payroll software systems, providing periodic reports and reconciliations.
- Perform basic income tax computations that are consistent to income tax regulations.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree from an accredited college/university in Actuarial Science, Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or Statistics
EXPERIENCE
At least one year experience in the Financial Services Industry would be an asset
