POSITION SUMMARY

The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s network and security infrastructure, with a particular focus on telecommunications, CCTV systems, and access control solutions. This role ensures the secure and efficient operation of the company’s network and physical security systems, supporting business operations across all locations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network engineering, as well as expertise in telecommunications, CCTV, and access control systems.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Network Infrastructure Management:

  • Design, implement, and maintain a robust network infrastructure that supports the company’s business operations.
  • Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize the network for maximum efficiency and reliability.

Telecommunications:

  • Manage and maintain the company’s telecommunications systems, including VoIP, PBX, and other communication platforms.
  • Ensure high availability and performance of telecommunications services, troubleshooting issues as they arise.

CCTV Systems:

  • Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of CCTV systems across all company facilities.
  • Ensure the CCTV infrastructure is secure, reliable, and scalable to meet the company’s security needs.
  • Monitor and maintain the video surveillance network, ensuring proper recording, storage, and retrieval of footage.

Access Control:

  • Manage the access control systems to ensure secure entry and exit of personnel and visitors at all company locations.
  • Configure and maintain access control hardware and software, including card readers, biometric systems, and door controllers.
  • Work closely with the security team to enforce access policies and respond to security incidents.

 

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or similar are preferred.

TRAINING

  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and software (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs).
  • Solid understanding of network security principles and practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on telecommunications, CCTV, and access control systems.
  • Experience with telecommunications systems, including VoIP and PBX.
  • Hands-on experience with CCTV and access control systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
