Merchandiser

JOB SUMMARY
A Merchandiser plans and organizes product displays, monitors stock levels, analyzes sales trends, and ensures products are available in the right quantity and location. The role involves coordinating promotions, maintaining visual standards, and helping drive revenue through effective product placement and inventory management.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Arrange and replenish merchandise displays

Monitor inventory and stock availability

Track sales performance and customer demand

Coordinate promotional campaigns and pricing

Ensure shelves and displays are clean and attractive

Communicate with suppliers and store management

Prepare sales and inventory reports

Identify fast-moving and slow-moving products

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma, CXC subjects, or equivalent qualification

Previous experience in merchandising, retail, sales, or customer service preferred

Basic knowledge of inventory management and stock control

Ability to use computers and basic Microsoft Office applications

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Good organizational and time-management abilities

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Physically capable of lifting, moving, and arranging merchandise when required

Valid driver’s license may be an advantage for field merchandising roles
