Medical Sales Representative - Emcure

The incumbent will identify, target and develop all accounts that have the potential to prescribe, recommend and /or sell the supplier brand products portfolio at all public and private medical institutions. This will be done by promoting to the relevant physicians, nurses, pharmacies and patient support groups as identified by therapeutic area.
1. Achievement of monthly sales and gross profit targets for the assigned portfolio.
2. To develop the supplier brand products in the Trinidad & Tobago market through the promotion of the portfolio to current and new customers in the private and public health sectors.
3. Identify a listing for visits to all public and private medical institutions and physicians, surgeons, specialty doctors, nurses, pharmacies and patient support groups working with those institutions in Trinidad & Tobago.
4. Identify key opinion leaders for the supplier brand products.
5. Present product information accurately, including benefits, usage, and safety details
6. To identify new business opportunities at existing or potential customers; provide scientific and product information, demonstrations and quotations to win the business.
7. Conduct regular field visits and follow a planned call schedule
8. To convert Government Tender Awards into purchases.
9. Respond to customer needs, requirements and problems in a timely manner.
10. Effectively plan, organize all commercial, clinical, and scientific activities for the assigned portfolios inclusive of product demonstrations.
11. Continuously keep abreast of changes in the supplier brand products portfolios and relay these changes to the medical professionals to ensure continued physician interest in the assigned supplier businesses.
12. Successfully introduce new products to all members of the medical staff both in the private and public hospitals and their benefits.
13. Monitor developments and changes in the public and private medical institutions that can impact the achievement of set objectives.
14. Maintain detailed records of visits, sales activities, and reports
15. Prepare and provide timely proposals/quotation as requested by clients.
16. Monitor and gather information on competitor activity.
17. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines
18. Perform other related duties as required by job function.
Qualifications and Experience
• B.A./B.S. in Business or Sciences.
• One to two years previous sales experience, preferably in the medical industry.
• Account management skills, which include problem-solving and customer relations.
• Excellent organizational, oral, computer and written communication skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
