POSITION SUMMARY
Performs key administrative and coordination functions to support legal and claims operations, including maintaining court diaries and records, managing correspondence, and organizing case documentation.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Administrative duties including filing, diarising all appointments, including Court dates, mail/correspondence and stationary.
2. Management and preparation of the prompt dispatch of briefs to Attorneys.
3. Receipt and response to correspondence from Company and Claimants’ Attorneys.
4. Maintenance of the Court Diary and appointments, ensuring all witnesses have been notified of the Court dates.
5. Liaise with Investigators and Adjusters in relation to locating witnesses and/or obtaining reports.
6. Ensuring claims files are up to date and general filing of documents.
7. Closing of files when a matter has been settled/withdrawn/dismissed.
8. Calling and reminding required persons to attend Court (insured, driver, witness, adjuster etc.)
9. Receiving calls and dealing with both internal and external queries.
10. Photocopying and scanning services related to the management of claims.
11. Work closely with other team members and interface with the various departments and other teams as may become necessary.
12. Any other related duties.
