OBJECTIVES AND GENERAL OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION: 

SUMMARY OF JOB: 

The Water Treatment Service Technician I will be based in Barbados and ensures the delivery of safe, effective, and efficient water treatment services to major clients by maintaining strong client relationships, resolving technical concerns, and identifying value-adding solutions that meet operational standards, safety standards and comply with the policies and procedures of the ANSA McAL Group. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Conduct on-site testing and monitoring of water treatment systems to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with customer and regulatory standards. 

  • Troubleshoot water system performance issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions for sustained system improvement. 

  • Install, maintain, and calibrate water treatment equipment to ensure accurate dosing and effective operation. 

  • Record and report service activities and test results to maintain accurate customer documentation and support internal audits. 

  • Train customers on the safe use of water treatment products and equipment to improve end-user understanding and minimize misuse or safety risks. 

  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and service requests to ensure timely issue resolution and high levels of customer satisfaction. 

  • Coordinate with the Technical Sales Team to provide feedback and technical support that informs client solutions and drives sales growth. 

  • Represent the company professionally on client sites to strengthen brand trust and promote future service opportunities.  

  • Perform any other related duties as may be required to support the success of the team and the achievement of departmental and company objectives. 

    Formal Education:  

    Degree and major if applicable:  

    • A Diploma in EEET or Instrumentation (or equivalent)  

    • Professional certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., CSP, CIH, NEBOSH) is highly desirable. 

Required hands-on, technical, or other types of training to perform the job: 

  • Proven success in a technical service role. 

  • Strong technical knowledge of water treatment systems and chemical handling. 

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems (e.g., D365). 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, client-focused approach. 

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple service accounts simultaneously.
