ANSA McAL Chemicals Limited is seeking a dynamic, commercially focused, and results-driven professional to join our team as Finance Manager.
This position plays a critical role in providing financial leadership and business partnership across the organization, supporting strategic decision-making, financial performance management, governance, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and cross-functional teams to drive sustainable business growth and financial success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation, analysis, and presentation of financial statements, management reports, forecasts, and business performance insights.
- Support the budgeting, forecasting, and annual business planning processes.
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, working capital, and profitability to ensure the achievement of business objectives.
- Review and challenge financial results, forecasts, business cases, and investment proposals to support informed decision-making.
- Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Commercial, and Human Resources teams to drive financial accountability and business performance.
- Monitor key financial and operational performance indicators and recommend initiatives to enhance profitability, productivity, and efficiency.
- Prepare quarterly reporting packages and support statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, internal controls, and corporate governance policies.
- Lead internal and external audit processes and drive the implementation of audit recommendations.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, systems, and automation.
- Lead finance transformation projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and system enhancements.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development to the Finance team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Build strong relationships with Group Finance, auditors, regulatory bodies, financial institutions, and other key stakeholders.
- Act on behalf of the CFO as required and represent the Finance function in leadership and cross-functional meetings.
Qualifications & Experience
- Professional accounting designation such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent.
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a similar finance leadership role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and internal controls.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modelling skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and influence decisions across functions.
